We are an independent body made up of members of the police service, whether on active duty or retired, and without distinction as to rank, gender, race, colour, language or religion. Our purpose is to create bonds of friendship and to promote international cooperation.

Any police officer can join the International Police Association (IPA) at any time in their career – as long as they are serving or retired on full or medical pension. The IPA is also open to others who are employed, or have been employed, in the police service.

Welcome to IPA Gibraltar section.
On behalf of our 240 members, I wish to say thanks for visiting our new website. We hope that it not only meets your expectations but more importantly that you are able to find the information you need from us on here.
Reflecting on our achievements throughout 2024, IPA Gibraltar have created many ties with sections from all over the globe and our members have made a lot of friends also. (You know who you are)!
As we look to 2025, we intend to repeat all of the events we now have as a yearly recurrence in our packed calendar and I have no doubt that my committee will be looking to add more, so please do check in on this website regularly for new and upcoming events being published.
For a section of our size, we really made our presence felt on an international level last year with a representation of Gibraltar section members being made at the IPA motorcycle rally in the Dolomites with the Italian section, the Young Police Office Seminar (YPOS) held in Vienna with the Austrian section, the World Congress held in Ohrid, North Macedonia and ending with the SheisIPA / HERO conference, held at IBZ Gimborn, Germany.
